Akmati

Artist and teacher of Plastic Arts, AKMATI, whose real name is AKA Kouamé Matin, is a resident of the Conservatoire Régional des Arts et Métiers d’Abengourou (CRAMA) and the Centre Technique des Arts Appliqués (CTAA) in Bingerville.

   After studying at the Abidjan School of Fine Arts and the Centre de Formation Pédagogique pour les Arts et la Culture (CFPAC) of INSAAC, he teaches and practices Visual Arts in Katiola (Ivory Coast).

   Using mixed media, AKMATI explores embroidery, addressing various themes of African culture. He has participated in several exhibitions and artistic activities, including the Abidjan Art Festival in 2014, the Guy Nairay Prize, and was a laureate of the Street Art competition organized by the renowned plastic artist ABOUDIA.
